WAR PENSIONS.
Feu Press Association. Wellington, November 6. The War Pensions Board has handled 335 cases up to the present. The work of the Board is summarised as follows Pensions granted 112 (soldiers 11. dependents 128); allowances made 19 (.soldiers 19); applications declined 49 (soldiers 1 20), dependents 29) ; applications adjourned 22 (soldiers 12, dependents 10); applications 'on hand 103 (soldiers 10, dependents 93); totals, soldiers 75, dependents 260. 1 The number of pensions granted lias been M2, the total annua] cost being i £7408, and the average annual ■amount £2. Fifteen allowances ! amount to €560 annually.
