NEWTON KING’S HAYMARKET REPORT. Owing to the unfavourable conditions of the weather experienced by most farmers on Saturday last, pigs were yarded in somewhat smaller numbers than usual. However, despite this fact, buyers were plentiful, ami consequently competition was keen throughout. Weaners only six weeks old realised the remarkable price of 28s, which I consider quite a record. It quote as follows: Weauers 18s to 28s, slips 28s (id to 80s, stores (small) 85s Gd, medium 88s Gd to L'2, calves 2s Gd to 12s. T. LAIVI ASON’S WEEKLY REPORT. Last Saturday our usual weekly sale was hold, when we had a very large audience, also a fairly lengthy catalogue. Wo quote as follows:—Hens Is Gd to 2s 3d, ducks Is S)d to 2s Bd. roosters 2s Gd to 8s Gd, hen and chicks 10s, hen and ducklings 1 Is, rhubarb Gd ; (large bundles), cauliflowers os Gd dozen, cabbage Is 8d dozen, potatoes (small bags) 8s 8d to Is. chaff 8s (id sack, pollard IGs Gd sack. Furniture and sundries at usual auction rates.
