October. 27. i i A tragedy has occurred at Collingwood, where ajx invalided pensioner named William Green and; a woman named McCormick, his housekeeper, were found shot dead, in Green’s residence. It is surmised that Green killed the woman, and then himself, as the outcome of recent quarrels. Rome, October 27i A porter named Charlton, who was charged with the murder of his wife, whose body was found enclosed in a trunk at Lake Como in June, 1910, was sentenced to six and two-thirds years’ imprisonment, but taking into account the time he has already been imprisoned be will be liberated a month helice.
