ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL MEETING. p£B PIIESS ASdOOIAI'ION. S Wellington, October 29. The annual meeting of 'the New Zealand Tennis Association was held to-night, Mr H. M. Gore presiding The report stated that the annual Dominion championship meeting would be abandoned this year. The sum of £l7B had been raised for the war fund. The balance-sheet showed an expenditure exceeding the income by £6B. Three members of the council—Messrs Spilsbury, Crombie, and Fleming—had enlisted. The election of officers resulted: Patron, The Governor; president, Mr H.'-M; Gore; vice-presi-dents, Messrs A. A.* Martin (Auckland). G. L. Berry (Canterbury), J. Connelly "(Marlborough),, It. C. Tenant (Sdith&md), G.fH. Wownall (WellingfcouV'lfT. iS. NfcHofc (Otago), Dr. H. B. Leatham (Taranaki), and the presidents of the Hawke's Bay and West Coast Associations; viceI president of the Australasian Association; Mr H. M. Gorfe; delegate to the English Association, Mr A. E. Beamish (London); delegates,,to tho Australasian Association, Messrs V. H. Baxter, Ross Gore and C. T. Metcalfe; ma-nagpinent committee, Messrs H. M. Gore, M. E. Denniston, ;A. G. Henderson, D. M. Kean, G. F. Smythe, M. F. Instone, R, N. K. jSwahst'ori; secretary, Mr A. Petherick. It was decided to organise a tourney with the object of raising funds for Christmas gifts for soldiers at the front.
