TWINS STRANGLED.

WOMAN ARRESTED FOR MURDER

Christchurch, August IK

Mrs Mary Ann Reed. 30 years, was arrested on warrant on a charge oi murdering twins by strangling them at Hornsby on Saturday. It is stated that Mr s Reed, while separated from her husband, gave birth to twins, and soon after told her parents where they were. The parents found the twins, strangled by linen bands, under a gorse hedge. The doctor’s evidence showed that the children had breathed, and the woman was arrested. An inquest is proceeding.
