BRITISH IN THE BALTIC. CONCERN IN GERMANY. UHixan uhkbi! association Copenhagen, October 15. The success of the British sumarines in the Baltic overshadows even | the news from the Balkans. A German captain states that lie saw j three steamers sunk on Monday. Af- | ter hearing an explosion, he found j wreckage and lifeboats bottom upwards. Then, steering east, be saw another vessel disappear, four hundred yards away. Later in the evening he heard a terrific explosion and a third vessel’s lights were extinguished. The tables are now turned on the Germans, in waters where hitherto they were unchallenged. Neutral ships are not molested, but au effective German isolation is resulting.
