Chicago reports a sharp advance in the price of wheat due to the reports that the British and French intended to leave the Dardanelles and operate elesewhere, leaving the Russian wheat still unmarketed. TRADE WITH AMERICA. JAPAN AN ACTIVE RIVAL. (Received 9.10 a.in.) New York, October 15. P E. Quinn, opening the New South Wales’ Government’s new offices, said that it was intended to inrcease the trade with the United States. He announced that the immediate object was the establishment of a direct steamer line from New York to Sydney. Japan was seeking actively to secure the trade which Germany had lost with Australia. KRONPRINZ WILHELM MYSTERY INTERNMENT OF GERMANS IN AMERICAN WATERS. (Received Noon). Washington, October 15. The disappearance of six officers-in-terned in the German cruiser Kronprinz Wilhelm, led the Government to order the practical imprisonment of the remaining German officers aboard the interned ships in American waters.
