Land),* less demand owing to large sup-ply.'Home-grown lamb is selling at a comparatively low price. Canterbury twos B£d, heavy-weight, i'onrs second-class quality light-weights 7J<{, other brands'than Canterbury 7:{d. .Beef: Ordinary quality New _ Zealand cannot be quoted. .'Th'e-supplies of American chilled beef are,.large, hinds 7Jd, lores 5Jd. , Butter. —The market remains firm, but on .account of the high prices there lis less demand for the best quality. Danish, quiet. 205 s to SOD**; Siberian, good demand for finest, 136 s to 1425; Irish dreamery, slow. 172 s to 180 s. Cheese.—The market is quiet but steady. Prices firm. Canadian, in fair demand, white 70s to 775, colored 77s to 785." English cheddar, Ches-j hire, .firm, moderate demand. 91s to 965. New Zealand, steady, white and' colored 70s to 775. Tinted States, good demand. 72s to 745, fine quality QBs to 70s. ■■'* - Heni'p.— The -Manila market is dull, with downward tendency for forward shipment owing to poor demand. The spot market is not affected so far. Xqw graded fair for shipment £3B to £-as"'os.
