ORANGE BLOSSOMS.
MAIN DONALD —NORTH COTE, A very pretty wedding took place yesterday at the Methodist Church, Manaia Road, at 11.30 a.m., the contracting parties being Miss Phyllis Maud Northcote, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Oliver Northcote, of Alahoe, and Air Frederick Thomas Maindon aid, of Mauaia Road, Alahoe, second son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Alaindonakl. The bride wore a very pretty white silk dress, very tastily trimmed, and looked charming. Her father gave her away. The bridesmaids were Miss May Northcote, sister of the bride, and Miss Ada Alaindonald, sister of the bridegroom. They were both very prettily attired, the first in white voile and the secind in bine silk. Two little flower-girls were in pretty embroidered dresses. The officiating minister was the Rev, Cbas. Blair, of Kaponga. BICNELL—BAYLY. At St. Alary’s Church, Now Plymouth, yesterday, Mr A. F. (Noel) Bignell, of Awakino, was wedded to Miss Patricia (“Pat”) Alary Bayly, New Plymouth. The officiating minister was the Rev. AV. A. Butler, The bride wore a bright navy crepe de chine costume and wore a " bite and saxe bat with touches of p.iik. She was attended by her sister, Miss Fey Bayly, who wore a smart blue silk poplin, primrose floral belt ami white lace hat with wreath of pale yellow roses. The mother of the hnde wore a mole silk costume, with tutan collar and cuffs, and mole hat w’tli ostrich plume to match. Airs Big’,.ell woie black silk with ninon overdress ami vienx rose hat. Airs Fantliam the bride’s grandmother, wore a grey costume, grey, boa, and black and white hat. ..Mrs Spratt, the bride’s sister, wa.y in navy crepe do chine, navy hat, with cerise roses; Aliss AVyniie Bignell white embroidered voile and white hat wj-eathed, wjth roses. The bridegroom was attended by,Air Cecil Bignell. The was .held ah the residence or the, bride's parents* i and later in the afternoon the.triple left by motor-car. : DAY^MUDFORD. A very pretty wedding Was solemnised by the Rev. J. Pattison at the Presbyterian Church, Regan Street, this afternoon, when Miss Viva Phyllis Aludford, eldest daughter of Air AV. Aludford. Pembroke Road, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Air Telford Day, youngest son of Air F. Day, Hawera. The bride wore a charming frock of white taffeta silk with an overdress of silk crepe de chine trimmed with rich guipure lace and a long train trimmed with a bow of crepe de chine and orange blossoms and also a handsome embroidered veil. The bride carried an ivory hook, Aliss Blake, of Hawera, who was chief bridesmaid, wore a dainty dress of white frosted- embroicleded voile and a pale pink crepe de chine hat. Miss May Aludford, sister of the bride, was attired in a white voile dress and a pale pink crepe de chine hat. The two bridesmaids carried bouquets of palest pink. The mother of the bride n'ore a dress of black channelise, relieved with white ninon, black and lAvhite hat. with large white plumes, -find carried a heliotrope bouquet. Mrs ’Membery, grandmother of the bride, wore a black silk dress, and a black toque hat with black and white feathers. Airs Day, grandmother of the bridegroom, black silk dross with a, black toque hat brimmed with violet. The bride’s train was carried l#c her little sister, Agnes, who was daintily clad in white voile dress and a lace ami white silk mob cap. The bride’s] present to the bridegroom was* a gold , albert, and the bridegroom’s present | to the bride was a gold wristlet watch, ami to each of the bridesmaids gold brooches. Mr Bates officiated as best man, while Air L. Aludford acted as groomsman. Mrs Brown (Feikling) presided at the organ. The bride’s travelling dress was a navy tailored costauniC, I pale grey hat with ostrich plumes to match. The wedding breakfast was partaken of at the Medina Tea Rooms.
