CONCERT AT MIDHIRST.

The annual concert in aid 'of the Midliirst School Fund was held on Friday night, when the hall was packed to the doors. Mr R. Masters, member of the Education Board, presided, and apologised for, the absence of Mr F. Mackay, who had hoped to preside, but was unavoidably absent on account of an accident to his son. During the evening a very enjoyable entertainment was given by the following performers; Junior girls, junior boys, Miss Eileen Dudding (recitations); senior pupils, junior pupils, senior boys, Misses Alice Sullivan, Huso, Savage, Sullvan, Mesdames Linnell, Tapp, Messrs H. Mail, F. Dunlop, Hamilton, Lennell (songs) ; senior girls (dancing steps). Mr Masters, on behalf of the School Committee, thanked those who assisted in the performance, especially those who had come from a distance, and also Mr Mail, the Headmaster, and his assistants, for the time given in perfecting the children in their splondid items.
