tFHOM ODB OWN CORRESPONDENT. | Tli.; Cardiff Miniature Rifle Club held its annual meeting on Friday night, when Mr 'I. Belcher (president) presided over a fair attendance of members. The following officers were elected for the year: Patron, G. A. Marchant; president, Mr J. T. Belcher; vice-presidents: W. Richards, J. B. Mine, M.P., J. Stewart, J. Rogers, I!. David, A. J. Smith, 0. J. Howards I). Cameron, and S. Sharp; executive, President (ox officio), A. DuVid, T. Richards, J. Rogers, 1). O'Sullivan, R. A. Belcher and Secretary; handicappor, A. David; secretary ami treasurer, 0. J. Mowarth. Votes of thanks were accorded Messrs J. Stewart, G. Mills, C. .lame:-., T. Gruhb, S. Sharp, .). Rogers, ti.'ul A. J. Smith for donating trophies, and to Mr G. A. Marchant and W. Richards for the practical asfiist'.Kico rendered the Club. It was decided to mark in il suitable manner the departure of Messrs \V. Blackstock and Harvey for the front. These men will proceed 'to Trentham at an early date. Mr W. Blackstock is a brother of Private Lrvine f'laekstocls who was killed at the Dardanelles in April. Mr Blackstock's determination, therefore, to proceed to tlic Front is certainly an object lesson to all slackers. It is hoped that the lesson uill not bo wasted. At, a social to be held on Wednesday next, presentations will be madeto Messrs Blackstock and Harvey as well as to Mr J. Morrison. The arrafagemonts are well in hand, and a pleasing function should result.
