' : ; !C', j • 1 '- : b There was a good attendance at His Majesty’s The’atre last night, when the previous evening’s programme was repeated, To-night there will be an entire change of programme , the star film being a great Keystone comedy entitled “Mabel’s Simple Life.’’ It is claimed that this is the latest, greatest, and merriest comedy yet shown on the film. Amongst the new war pictures will be shown troops parading in Pretoria, South Africa. There will be the usual Saturday matinee, commencing at 1.30 p.m.

THE MACK I OPERA. The presentation of an opera by a company of Natives is certainly a novelty, and it is therefore not surprising that F. Bennett’s Maori Opera Company "Hinemoa,” is meeting with terrific success all along the line. The company will appear at the Town Hall, Stratford, on Friday for positively one night only. There are 40 Maoris in the company, each one is an accomplished and a versatile artist. The play is .staged in a most gorgeous fashion. There are three acts and ten scenes, painted hy two renowned scenic artists. Tile beautiful legend of Hineipoa, all happened in the majestic region of Rotorua, arid each scene depicted h v the artists’ brush is a natural replica of those many well-known glorious landscapes that has made Rotorua one of the most fashionable holiday resorts in the world. A full and efficient orchestra, under the baton of the composer, travels with the company, and the net profits ot the tour go to our Wounded Soldiers. The tour is under the patronage of their Excellencies, the Governor. the Countess of Liverpool, and the Hon. \\ m. Massey. The box plan is now open at Grubb’s.
