THE NEWS CONFIRMED. \,’ I : j The High Commissioner' reports: — London, August 18 (4.40 p.m.) Zeppelins visited Eastern counties last night and dropped bombs. Anti-aircraft guns were brought into action, and it is believed one Zeppelin was hit. Air patrols were active, but owing to the difficulty arising from the atmospheric conditions, the Zeppelins were able to escape. Houses and other buildings including a church were damaged.
