TRADE WITH TSINC-TAO.
United Press Association. (Received 8.50 a.m.) .Pekin, August G. China and Japan have signed an agreement for the re-opening of the Chinese customhouse at Tsiug-tao, thus permitting the resumption of trade, which was dead for years.

(Received 10.0 a.m.) Melbourne, August .9 Questioned as to whether or not there had been compulsory military unification in Japan and China under the dictatorship of Japan, thus altering the balance of power in the Pacific, Mr Mahon replied that the Government had ho information that the balance of power had been altered. Ho was aware that the negotiations between China and Japan had been peacefully settled over a mouth ago, China accepting certain revised Article', but further discussion concerning certain other Japanese demands had been postponed.
