[United Presls Association.] (Received '1.45 p.ui.) f Berlin, August 4. A communique states: In our pursuit of the Russians we reached Kupischki, east-of Poniewiczo. We pushed the Russian)/ hack to their advanced defensive positions north of Lomza. A Prussian regiment, after heavy fighting, captured the Xarew crossing, near Ostralenka, capturing several 1 thousand men and ■ seventeen machine guns. The pursuit continues. We threw the Russians before■ Warsaw from the Blonie positron hack to the Outer line of the fortress. General von Wnyrsch captured the nest portion of the fortress of Tvangorod. 1 llie Russians yesterday were again defeated iu attempting to arrest General von Mackensen’s advaijpe to Lenczna, and they are now retreating
northward between the Vistula and the Bug.
