LEYLAND LINER SUNK.
SEVERAL AMERICANS DIE,

The Lcyland liner I icriun was torpedoed jand sunk. Seven people "ere killed and the remainder, sixty-two of lluvcrew were saved. Washington, July 31.
One American muleteer was killed on board the Iberian. The State .Department will not take action, as the Iberian tried to escape.
London, July 31
The Iberian’s survivors were in the boats for several hours. Two of them died on hoard the rescuing steamer.
An American woman was killed on board the Iberian.
SUBMARINE VICTIMS.
London, August 31
The Lowestoft trawlers Achieve, Guest, Strive and Athena have been submarined. Their crews have landed.
BELGIAN STEAMER MINED.
London. July 30
The Belgian steamer Prince Albert lias been sunk by a mine. The crew, along with the engineer’s wife and daughter, were saved.
