SUBMARINE VICTIMS. VESSELS SET ON FIRE. a United Press Association. (Received 9.15 a.m.) i, Amsterdam. July 27. A German submarine set fire to the Norwegian timber laden schooner, Harbo, from Christiania to Sunderland. They gave the crew five minutes to escape. A trawler landed themi at Ymuiden, The. captain saw three other vessels burning in the vicinity.
THE REPORTS CONFIRMED. (Received 11.20 a.m.) , Havre, July 27. Reports confirm the burning of two Norwegian and one Swedish vessel in addition to the Karbo by a submarine. A TRAWLER SUNK. (Received 11.20 a.m.) London. July 27. A submarine sank the Hull trawler Honoria in the North Sea. The crew of twelve were landed fit Kirkwall. DANISH STEAMER DESTROYED. (Received 11.20 a.m.) Copenhagen, July 27. A submarine sank the Danish steamer NogliTl. The crew was landed at Wilhelmshaveii.
NINE TRAWLERS SUNK, "NICE LITTLE TORPEDOES FOR CHURCHILL AND GREY!" (Received 1.5 p.m.) London, July 27. A submarine raided the Faroe fishing bank and shelled the trawlers without warning. Members of the crew jeered at the fishermen, shouting: "We have nice little torpedoes for' Churchill and Grey." Already it is known that nine trawlers were sunk. The crews landed aboard other trawlers after being l~> hours in the boats in the open sea. The fate of the other trawlers is unknown.
