JEREMY USING CAS SHELLS.
United Pit ess Association, (Received 1.55 p.m.) London, July 18. Sir John French reports; that the situation is unchanged since the 9th, though considerably activity has bfeeu shown hy the Cneiiiy and our,selves in springing several mines. Opr front was also subjected to; a heavy bombardment in various places. The enemy on the 10th developed a small attack north of Ypres, and gained a footing in the front line of our local support, but we immediately recaptured what we lost. The enemy on the 13th rushed An advance post on the Ypres-Kfeii-in road, but were driven out immediately. Further north the same night wb lost a trench held by one company,' hut bombing parties drove out the Germans and reoccupied it. A feature of the incident was the 1 German employment of many gas shells.
