THE SOUTH WALES MINERS. FEDERATION BREATHES DEFIANCE. ■ United Press Association. (Received J.-I5 p.m.) London, July 13. Mr Hunciman (President of the Board of Trade) formally introduced a hill to limit the price of coal, and it will be read a second time to-morrow. The Executive of the Miners’ Federation advises the Welsh miners to con- • timie work. Mr Lloyd George announces that.the proclamation to South Wales under the Munitions Act makep it an offence to. participate in a strike without arbitration-. Mr Winstone. president of the South Wales Miners’ Federation, states: “The Government forgets it is up against the South Wales miners. They tell Us we must work to put sometiling more into the coal owners’ pockets. Not likely!” Mr Winstone adds that the Government may destroy the South Wales miner, hut that it would nevbr coerce him.
