TRENTHAM CAMP.
INVESTIGATING THE SICKNESS. Per I'kess Association. Wellington, July i). The .Minister lor Public Health stated late to-night that the medical staff of the expeditionary forces was investeigating the nature of the sickness among the troops, and had secured the assistance o{ the chief Government bacteriologist and Dr. Chamtaloup, bacteriologist at the Otago University. Three, experts would determine whether or not dengue fever had secured a tooting among the men. It was certain that influenza and measles were of a malignant type after developing into sever* pneumonia. The trouble did not mean in any ca<*3 that there would be delay in the despatch of troops. Wellington. July 10. The Trentham Regiment left for Rangiotii near Foxton last night and this' morning; but" owing to the very heavy rain's experienced there, it wan decided to place the troops for the ..time'being in the racecourse buildings at Awapuni. The Sixth' Infantry, who were to have gone to-day to Tauherinakau, will be kept at Trentham till Monday. The Press Association state* that this is owing to the heavy rain experienced. The whole of the men in both Trentham and the new camps are being strictly confined to those areas. All leave has been stopped, and segregation will continue until the whole trouble has been remedied.
