TROTTING ASSOCIATION. Per Press Association. Christchurch, July 7. The Board of the New Zealand I'rotting Association met to-night. The lecision of the South Wairarnpa Trotting Club in an appeal case of A. Leg-tv'-as..considered, B and it was tlecidHf it i? clfTthe]c|uf*| to the non-carrying put of rule 82. It was decided that in future any rider or Iriver being fined for starting before Ids time would be cautioned and any* jlift fined twice in one season for such offence would have his conduct inquired into by the board.
The Australian Jockey Club ban distributed £97.344 in prize money during the present reason.
Nominations for the North Taranaki Hunt Club’s meeting dose on Friday night at nine o’clock. It is expected that these will be numerous and high
lass, as the Club are awarding gon*rous stakes and are sparing no ef-
fort to assist owners. The handicapping is in the capable hands of Mr Morse, while Mr O’Connor will despatch the fields in Ids usual brilliant manner. Interest will be added
by the fact that the meeting is the .irst totalisator meeting held by the Club; sports will no doubt appreciate this and patronise the meeting in record numbers. The meeting will be held on the popular Taranaki Jockey Club’s course at Now Plymouth, on the 29th inst.
