The principal film is a motion-picture record of Frank Hurley’s Expedition with Francis Birtles, the resourceful and intrepid cyclist overlander, entitled “Australia’s Unknown.” The film deals with every
phase of aboriginal life'in Northern Queensland, including stalking the alligator, the birth of■ the. ’gator,abori giuais spearing fish, weird Corroborees artesian bore emitting boiling water, catching the wild* pig, dog versils iguana, catching possums by the dozens, 'wild bees’ nests, ant ! hil|s the pestilential hornets, and maiiy other interesting pictures of the varied flora and'fauna. A special war picture to be shown to-night and to-mor-rov\-‘ night‘only, 'entitled “Sinking a Submarine.” Other?*‘pictures to be shown are: Fishing,-at 'Yarmouth,” “A Messenger'of'Gladness,’’ “Pheasant Shooting for our Wounded Heroes,” “Thumbprints and Diamonds,” and a brilliant Keystone featuring Charles Chaplin’s brother Sid, entitled “Among the' ,l Mourners.” On Saturday next a special matinee will be held to enable all school children to see the exceptionally fine educational picture, “Australia’s Un-
kiiown.’” Children will be admitted to all parts for 3d, adults usual ■ price. .
