Waikanae Handicap, of ladsovs., seven furlongs.— Diavolo i 11.4) I. t t»iceler (9,3) 2, Campeador (9.10) :i. All started. A line race. Won by a nose, a ner'k between second and third, and BirUline close up fourth. Time. 1.41. Gisborne Hurdles, of 2()() one mile and three-quarters.—Black Northern fl2.ll) 1, Vi (10.6) 2, Ormoloid (9.0) 3. Scratched: Hurakla. Master Timi fell and brought down Monorail, and flayer landed on the top of the two and broke his leg. None of the jockeys was hurt. Ormoloid ran off. hut was re-started, finishing several minutes after the other horses. Won by ten lengths. Tin'n, 3.20.
Te Hapara Steeples, of 200 sovs.. 2 miles and a-half.— -Fagot (10,13) 1. The Mouse (S).l:V) 2, Fireaway (10.10) 3. Also started: Golden Glow. A good race; won by four lengths, the same distance between second and third. Time, 4;36.
