j H.M, THEATRE. I The iir.-i. series of "The Adventures ! of Kathlyn" stories will be screened ' for the first time this evening. No. 1 of the series is entitled "The I'n- ' welcome Throne." It is a vivid story I of India, full of sensational episodes, I and never fails to interst all classes. I The chief part is played by Miss Rath-' , lyn Williams, a noted picture actress. | A big extra war film "In Xieuport Uuder Fire" shows the place being shelled by the Germans—the 7th and Bth Belgian regiments which have been decorated by King Albeit moving to the firing line —Belgian soldiers in the trenches, etc. "The Topical Budget" also shows many great war scnes. | Other pictures on the programme are: | "A Trip Through Uganda" (scenic), I "Moonshine Mountain" (drama), "The hocked House" (comedy), "An Incompetent Hero" (Keystone 5 ). A huge zeneiit will lie given in aid of the Returned Wounded Soldiers to-morrow night. CINDERELLA: OR THE LITTLE CLASS SLIPPER. With the two performances in the Town Hall on Thursday and Friday evenings, in aid of the local Fire Brigade, actors and actresses in this wellknown pantomime are briskly at work on their cues, and to-night a full-dress rehearsal will be held. The story of the cinder-wench and her experiences until Cinderella marries the Prince is sufficiently engrossing to hold the attention of all when it is brought up-to-date, and this may be depended upon by theatre-goers. Upon the dances and ballets, Mrs MoBeth has »:iveii much time to instructing her charges, and these will be very interesting and spectacular. New and popular songs by local artists have been arranged, and the scenery is unique and new. The farce "Laughing Gas" is being put on as a curtainraiser to the pantomime.
