THE BELGIAN FLAG.
The Belgian Flag made by Miss Matson, of Hawera, was .sold by auction on Saturday, at 2.30, in Broadway. Dr. Paget opened the proceedings with a spirited address. He read a list o! Stratford boys who had fallen. Lust year, lie said, he had to ask for donations to send the men away equipped, but now he asked for donations to provide every comfort and care lor those who had fallen, wounded, lighting For the Empire and freedom. Messrs R, Cottier, W. Webster, and N. B. Fletcher auctioned the flagMr C. Bayly eventually bought the Flag for £ll.
