Le Matin publishes extracts from a letter from the Kaiser to a Bavarian Court personage, in which the Kaiser insists on the certainty of attaining the sole object of the war for which Germany is fighting, namely, peace which will be fruitful for German States. He concludes: "Such peace may come sooner than expected. Even if it only gives an incomplete rev suit it will serve as a preparation for the future. It could be signed to-mor-row if I wished it."
