i ■' ' - Colonel Robin, .Acting-Commandant of the Xew /Zealand Forces has been promoted to Brigadier-General, and Lieutenant-Colonel Gibbon, Acting Chief of General Staff, to the rank of Colonel in the Xew Zealand Defence Forces. Mr G. A. Hudson, of the local staff of the National Bank, leaves on Monday for Wellington on transfer. While the severance, after five years, is much regretted, Mr Hudson’s many friends will be pleased to hear that the change means promotion. Members of the local staff made practical demonstration of their respect and esteem byi presenting Mr Hudson with a travel-! ling rug. j
