HANDSOME TOTAL OF £4ts. The Belgian Flag made by Miss Matson, of Hawera, was sold by auction this afternoon in Broadway. Dr. Paget opened the proceedings .with a spirited address. He read a list of Stratford boys who had fallen. Last year, he said, he had to ask for donations to send the men away equipped, but noAv he asked for donations to provide every comfort and care for those who had fallen, wounded, fighting for the Empire and freedom. Messrs R. Cottier, W. Webster, and N. B. Fletcher auctioned the flag.
