TO-DAY'S SITTING. His Worship (Mr W. G. Kenrick, 5.. M.) presided at this morning's sitting of the Magistrate's Court at Stratford. CRIMINAL CHARGE. Hubert Metford, a first offender, was charged with drunkenness. The prisoner had been medically treated at the New Plymouth gaol and expensese had been incurred amounting to 15s. In view of the fact that the prisoner had volunteered for t'le front, he was ordered to pay medical expenses, default being fixed at seven Uays' imprisonment. CIVIL PROCCEDIMGS. Bright and Backhouse v. W'ii£apap.i, Judgment was entered ?■>;• l?s 6d with os costs. James Donald v. J. Shuts. Judgment was entered for i'l and 13s costs. JUDGMENT SUMMONS. The Stratford Co-operative Store Company (Mr ,T. G. fookes) v. T. Christian.—After the defendant had been examined an order was refused. W. A. Wunsch (Mr C. Wright) v. C. iA-atham (Mr Stanford). Alter the defendant had been examined an order was made for the payment of £l] 9s forthwith, default being fixed at fourteen davs' imprisonment. \V. A, Wunsch (Mr C. Wright) v. H J. Sharrock. Defendant was ordered to pay Wj i(s 8(1 forthwith i" default seven days' the warrant to be suspended provided defendant pays £5 on the 21st June and the balance on the Ist July, 1915. E. Mounsey (Mr llntherfurd) y. Frank Coweli. Judgment Debtor did not appear, and an order was made for payment of £lO (is (id forthwith, default being fixed at seven days' imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended until the Ist October, 1915.
