On Tuesday the enemy begun the bombardment of o»sow.iec at two o'clock in the morning, but the batteries in the fortress got the upper hand. In the Orkitz valley during Tuesday night, the enemy opened an intense artillery sre from numerous batteries. against the village of Jednorojetz, throwing tens of thousands of shells in a short space of time. On Tuesday the enemy several times tried to attack the position, their efforts ending in his occupation of only a part. North of Przasnyz, the Russians, with an energetic counter-attack re-occupied all the advanced trenches where the enemy were maintained since his action on the 12th.

In West Galicia the battle of the San continues with increasing fierceness. On the Dniester, the fighting along the front, Tismenitza-Bystritza, was continued on . Monday and Tuesday to the Russians' advantage. South of Jidatcheff, near Beriznitza and Kroulevska, the Russians captured another five hundred Germans prisoners, including 14 officers, I guns, and 6 machine guns.
