THE WESTERN FRONT. The High Commissioner reports:— London, June 17 (4.40 p.m.) In the Vosges, the French progressed on Wednesday, and rendered themselves masters of a line of heights dominating the valley of La Fecht, north of- Steinbruck and Metzeral, to the south. We gained ground between the two branches of La Fecht and on tlie heights separating the valley of La Fecht from La Lauch.
