THE RASD ON KARLSRUHE. MANY KILLED -MUCH DAMACE. London, June 17. A neutral message from Karlsruhe says that fifty bombs wore dropped, almost destroying the palace, which was the headquarters of the local commander. Three officers and two sold' vs were killed, and over two hundred elsewhere. MUNITIONS FACTORY DESTROYED. Copenhagen, June 17. It is reported that in the Karlsruhe raid a barracks and a munitions factory were destroyed. A communique states that nineteen were killed and fourteen seriously wounded at Karlsruhe. The population is embittered on account of this senseless procedure. RAIDING THE ZEPPELINS,
Amsterdam. .June 17. Three English airmen dropped three bombs on a Zeppelin shed at Grondradi. south of Ghent. The damage done is not known. THE EAST COAST RAIDS. AN OFFICIAL REPORT. London. June 17. Official: Tn the north-east coast raid sixteen were killed, including a policeman, and forty were injured. In connection with the raid on the 7th. also on the noHh-east coast, five men (civilians), thirteen women and six children were killed. A drapery establishment, a timber-yard, and a terrace of small houses were burned. ZEPPELIN FAILURE. EXPERTS MUCH PERTURBED. BRITAIN'S WARNEFORD CREATES ALARM. (Received 9.15 a.m.) Paris, June 17. A message received via Switzerland says that Count Zeppelin and his technical assistants at Predriehshaven are greatly perturbed at the result of Aviator Warneford's success. Count Zeppelin has always represented the danger of attack bv aeroplane as a negligible one, but his expert advisers now say it is either necessary to increase the bouyancy of the Zeppelins by carrying fewer men or bombs or that there will have to be a radical change in design.
