United Press Association. • {Received 10.15 a.uu) Sydney, Juno !<• Mr Wade, in explaining that,''lds motion was merely intended as a ground work for discussing administration, and that the Committees Act merely appealed for a Party truce in wartime, urged an organised recruiting campaign. In an earnest recruiting speeVh he declared that a large proportion of the young men did not realise Itheir duty to the Empire. For every one enlisting there were nine or ten who should be doing their duty. Mr Holman defended the Commodi’ttes commissionand indieu-tvd that while lie saw no reason that the cordial relations between the Government and Opposition should cease, he intended pushing on his legislative programme. The House then adjourned.
SCIENCE CONGRESS POSTPONED (Received 10.15 a.m.) Sydney, June 17. Owing to the war the meeting of the Australasian Science Congress, fixed to take place at Hobart in January next lias been postponed to 1917.
