A SERUM COMMUNIQUE. CLAIMS TO SUCCESS. [Unitsd Pkim Association.] (Received 1.50 p.m. Berlin, June 16. A communique states: Influenced by the Russians, the French and British made strong attacks at many points. The English, near Ypres, slightly pUshed- back our positions north of a village towards Selle, where the fighting continued. Two attacks of four English divisions between the Estares-La Bassec Road and the canal* completely collapsed. The Westphalians, reinforced by a portion of the Guards, repulsed this attack after desperate hand-to-hand fighting, in which the British suffered severely. Wo captured several machine guns and one mine-throwing howitzer. We defeated the Russians on Wednesday on the San front between Sieniaja and the Dnoistcr marshes, and after hard lighting the Russians were thrown out of their positions by the evening. Since the' Pijth, General Mackensen took 40,000 prisoners and captured sixty-nine machine gnus. The Russians gained some grolihd between the Dneister marshes anUvZua.fiUib.
