buted to over-racing. The Club voted £-1000 to the War Funds.
DISTRICT COMMITTEE. The Taranaki Jockey Club District Committee met at New Plymouth last evening, when there were present:— Messrs L. A. Nolan (in the chair). R. H. Xola-n, W. C. Weston, W. Sole, YV. C. Phillips, .1. Gray, B. H. Chancy, J. McLeod, L. B. Webster, O. Eraser, X. King, A. Alexander, E. K. 'Blundell, and A. W. Budge. The North Taranaki Hunt Club's programme for a race meeting to be held on July 29 was approved,''and permission was granted the Hunt Club to hold this meeting on the Taranaki Jockey Club's course. The Taranaki Stakes, SOOsovsV, 6 furlongs, to be run at the Taranaki Jockey Club's autumn meeting, 1917, was approved. A list of names for the unpaid forfeit list was authorised to be sent to Christchurch.
