HANDSOME DONATION TO HQS- • PITAL. Per Fbiss iAssociation. Wanganui, June 16. • Mr Hope Gibbons* who has already contributed largely to the patriotic funds, attended the Hospital Board meeting to-day, and intimated that he was willing to' underwrite £4OOO for the erection of a Convalescent Ward in the local hospital for the use of wounded soldiers, the ward to accommodate forty or fifty men,' and to be equipped and furnished free of charge \ to tbn Boai'd. The Board accepted the offer, and a committee was appointed to arrange details preparatory to its immediate erection.
