PERSONAL.

Sergeant-Major M. McGlade, who has been killed in action at the Dardanelles, was born in County Waterford, Ireland. He joined the New Zealand Forces and was for a considerable time stationed at Hawera. He was very popiifar with mem Iters of the Xlth Regiment, to which lie was attached as Regimental-Sergeant-Major. When war broke out, he offered his services and was appointed Regimental Sergeant-Major to the Wellington Regiment. His loss will be keenly felt hi military circles and among the many friends his genial manner won him.
