EUCHRE PARTY.

The Eltham Hibernians met in a return match on Monday. The following is the result of the game (Eltham players mentioned first); — Reardon and W. Kelliher 2 v. Dennis and Magee 4. McCarthy and J. McDonald 6 v. Mcßarron and O’Conor 1. T. ami B. Kelliher 4 v. AY. Bowler and Breen 1. Dore and White 2 v. Foley Jun. and Jans 3. . , Fitzgerald and Martin 4 v. 1 helan and 'l'. McDonald 5. Burke and Halpin 6 t. AVeyhourne and Schumacher 2. Totalis—Eltham 24, Stratford 16. Win for Eltham by 8 points. Several other tables were engaged, but not in the tournament. After play, supper was provided by Mr Cramer at his refreshment rooms. The President of the Stratford Branch 'Mr T. 1. Geraghty) presided, and the following toasts were honored: “Pope and King,” by the President; “Navy and Army” by Bros. AY. Bowler and AVeyboiirne.— Response by Bros. Kilbride and AValsh ; “A miters’’ by Bros. Brennan and O’Conor (Bros. Reardon and Kilbride) ; “Absent Members” by Rro. AY. Bowler; “Ladies” by Bro. Mcßarron (Bro. T. Kelliher) ; “Mine Host” by the President; “The Chairman” by President of Eltham Branch (Bro. Kilbride). The singing of the National Anthem brought to a conclusion a most sociable evening.
