STRATFORD GOLF CLUB.

Yesterday a team of nine players went to Hawera and played a match against the Cluh. Part of the course .was in excellent condition, but the newer portion on tussock country was ! rather rough. The Stratford Club won by four matches. The scores were as follows (Stratford being mentioned first) : | (J. I*. Wright lost to O’Callaghan, 7 up and (>. P, Wright won from Blair, (i up and ■I. Stanford lost to Burgess, d up and ‘l. Abraham won from Tonics, -1 up and d. Kussell won from Pratt. I) up and S. Spence won from Page. 1 up. ITdacke won from Sisted, 8 up and G. Thomson and Caplen all square.
