ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

INGLEWOOD RESIDENTS SUDDEN END. Quite a shock was experienced at tlie I Coronation Hall yesterday afternoon • (reports the' News), when it became known that Mr Geo. Williams, a wellknown resident of Inglewood, a visitor to the show, had expired with startling suddenness. Deceased was evidently about to leave the show, and when ‘ near the door was seen to fall to the floor, it was thought in a fainting lit. He was picked up by Messrs J. , B. Hill and T. Luxton, and conveyed 1 to Dr. Brewster’s in a car, but he expired en route. The body was coni \ eyed to the morgue by Constable Boulton. Deceased’s wife was present I in another portion of the show, and did not know of her husband’s death until later. Deceased, who was -u years of age, leaves a grown-up family. Mr Williams was farming at Maude Road, near Egmont Village, 'until about twelve months ago, when his sons carried on the farm, and he retired to Inglewood, where he has lately been in the employ of the Moa Dairy Company as a carter. As Dr, McCleland is able to certify to the cause of death, an inquest will not be necessary. A MOTOR ACCIDENT. A motor accident cocurred near tlie Waiwakaiho bridge yesterday as the result of which a man named Fawcett, a resident of Pihama, received injuries which necessitated his removal to the hospital. The News states that Mr R. Lambie, of Pihama, was driving his car from Pihama to Lepperton. He was accompanied by Messrs Thorualley and Fawcett. Just past the Waiwakaiho bridge a tyre burst and the car capsized, throwing the occupants out. [The other occupants escaped unhurt. The injured man was conveyed by Mr J. R. Hill to Dr. Brewster, who, after examination, ordered his removal to I the hospital.
