A correspondent of the Novre Vremya between Radymno and Jaroaiav states: On the morning of the 24th the Germans brought up large numbers of heavy 'guns drawn by motors. Seven hundred thousand shells were fired at Radymno alone. The high explosives swamped the Russian trenches and broke among the divisional staffs and reserves. The curtain of bursting shells rendered the enemy's trenches invisible, and it was impossible to bring up teams to remove tbe guns.
