BIRTHDAY HONORS.

The Hi eh Commissioner ivports that Lite folowing birthday honors have been carried by the King:— Karl Kitchener —Knight of the Carter. Hon, H. Dillon Bell (Minister of Internal Affairs for Now Zealand) —Knight Commander of St. Michael and St. George. Mr James Mackenzie (Under-Secre-tary for Lands, New Zealand) — Imperial Service Order. Major Hunt (Wellington Battalion), Major O’Neill (Medical Corps). Major Waite (Engineers), were each awarded the Distinguished Service Order for gallantry at the Dardanelles, Other Birthday Honors were:— Gilbert Parker, baronetcy. Knights Bachelor: Thomas Hughes, New South Wares, formerly Lord Mayor of Sydne.v ; Hon. Peter Mcßride (AgentGeneral for Victoria, and Mr Freyer, superintendent of Fisheries, who participated in the introduction of trout into New Zealand. Twelve Australians and New Zealanders at the Dardanelles were awarded Distinguished Service Orders. Ten military crosses and thirty-three distinguished conduct medals were also awarded. ,
