STRATFORD GOLF CLUB.
Under perfect weather conditions, a very enjoyable match was played at Stratford against the Inglewood Club yesterday, pairs best ball in the morning, and singles in the afternoon. Hie match in the morning resulted in a draw, and that in the afternoon in a win by the local club, 7 against 2. The scores were as follows, Stratford players being mentioned first:— Morning.—G. It. Wright and I’tissell 1, from Thomson and Brown 5 up and 4 ; Stanford and Abraham 1, from Surrey and Sutherland 3 up and 2; S. Spence and 1 niacke lost to Bullard and Sutherland, 2 up and 1; Dunlop and Robinson lost to O’Carroll and Darlow, 2 np and 1; Anderson and Young with Sutherland and R. Spence, all square. Afternoon. — G. R. Wright 1 from Thomson, 4up and 3. Stanford ! from Brown, 6 up and 5. Abraham. 1 from Sutherland, 4up j md 3. Fnssell, 1 from Surrey, 5 up and 3. S. Spence. 1 from Bullard, 7 up and (5. C. Wright, 1 from Sutherland, 5 up and 3. Uniaeke, 1 from O’Carroll, 2 up and 1. Dunlop lost to Darlow, 5 up and 4. Robinson lost to Sutherland, 7 up and 6.
