MAGISTRATE’S COURT.

TO-DAY’S SITTING. (Before W. G. Kenrick, Esq., S.M.) Two reserved judgments were given this morning. MOTOR COLLISION CASE. W. O. Bredow v. A. McCluggage.— Judgment for plaintiff was entered for £2l 13s (id, Court costs £6 Us, witnesses’ expenses £6 7s. Iu giving judgment His Worship stated that defendant had been negligent in not going to his side of the road immediately he saw the plaintiff coming. Mr 11. Spence appeared for plaintiff and Mr A. H. Johnstone (instructed by Mr W. U. Malone), for defendant. i BUSH FIRE CASE. H. Ashcroft v. Gamlin.— Judgment for plaintiff for £sl 2s 6d and costs, including witnesses expenses £24 9s, was entered. His Worship, in giving judgment, said that defendant’s evidence was so inconsistent and unreliable, that he could not wholly believo the evidence tendered by defendant. Mr Stanford appeared for plaintiff and Mr P. Thomson for defendant.
