AMUSEMENTS.
H.M. THEATRE. The programme screened last night was well received by ah appreciative audience. Every film screened presented something new and novel. The star feature, "Lily of the Valley," is an appealing little story of a count) y school. In "The Australian Gazette" a fine set of cartoons are penned by Harry Julian, the celebrated pen and ink artist of Australia. "The Horse Thief" is a splendid cowboy drama, and includes remarkable horsemanship. "Under Burning Skies" is a gripping western town romance' by the A.B. Co. "Bully Boy War Cartoons" are really clever and amusing. There are some good comedies, "Lizzie the Life Saver," and "His Talented I Wife."
THE WHITE SLAVE TRAFFIC
For Friday evening next the management, by special arrangement, will screen a remarkable film depicting in vivid fashion the methods adopted by agents of the horrible white slave traffic to lure young girls to a life of shame and misery. Xo drama ever filmed has caused so much comment as this, mainly because the adventures depicted are taken from real life. Whilst dealing with a delicate sub-
ject, there is nothing in the film of an objectionable nature. The supporting programme will be an especially good one, and will include a Charlie Chaplin comedy, "His Musical Career." Xo advance will be made on the ordinary prices.
