HUIROA.
OttOM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Ou Saturday, May loth, a team re- ’ presenting Douglas School visited Huiroa and played a return cricket match [against the local boys. On a previous I occasion the Huiroa boys had visited Douglas, and registered a win by an innings and two runs, but on this occasion Douglas, showing greatly improved lorin a reversed the position, winning by an innings and twelve runs. In their extra innings they also put up a good score. The teams are now level, Huiroa having won th,e two matches played at Douglas, and Douglas having won each ot the two return matches played at Huiroa. It is evidently not considered the correct 1 thing between these teams to subject the visitors to such inhospitable treatment as a beating. In this last match • those showing best form with the bat | were H. Wylie (21), Leo. Needham (15), 15. Wilrnshurst c 11) (Douglas), [and H. Evans (11) (Huiroa). In their extra innings the following Douglas boys also made good scores —K. Webb (21), J. Walter (14), B. Wilrnshurst (12), and H. McLellau (11). Following are the scores: — HUIROA—Ist Innings—R.
