PORTUGUESE REVOLT.
United Phebb Association. Madrid, May 15. There are serious rumours of revolution in Portugal. Many fugitives are arriving at Badajoz. Outbreaks has occured at Lisbon, Caimbra, Oporto, Santarem, and other towns, and fighting has taken place between the troops and masses of civilians. Telegraphs and telephones have been cut. Official: Telegrams state that the naval squadron in the Tagus is leading the insurrection. It bombarded the city, doing considerable damage. Numbers were killed and wounded. Private telegrams state that the commander of the cruiser Vascodea Gama was murdered.
The army garrisoning Lisbon remains loyal to President Arriaga.
