LATE SPORTING.
ECMONT RACES,
(Notes By Cicero.)
The racing at Ha wera to-morrow should he first-class as the accoptauces arc capital. After the recent heavy rain, the track is very sort and it will he a surprise if there are not some large dividends paid. M aipunoa and El Gallo should command a large following for the Tongahoe Hurdles. Grattan and Play Off are the best handicapped horses in the Tawhite Handicap. Fortify is galloping nicelv, and is bound to run well forward in the Hailway Handicap. A moderate lot are engaged in the Ladies’ Purse. Glacier and Patronata appear the best. Of the seven engaged in the .Mcßae Memorial, Sun Bird and Hatana should divide favouritism. Zion will possibly start favorite for the Telegraph Handicap, but may meet more than her match at the weights in Martlet. Sylvan Hale is remarkably well handicapped in the Waihi Handicap, and must take a power of heating.
