The Wellington Boxing Association lias arranged a match between Tim Tracy and Young Taylor, at Wellington on June 10th, the proceeds to he in aid of the wounded soldiers’ Amid. At the Egmont Club last evening a billiard match was played between Mr F. Kane, a member of the Club, and Mr Clark McConochy, a well-known master of the cue. Mr Kane was conceded 350 in 750, and reached the total when his opponent had scored 700. Mr McConochy, whose best break was 105, did not seem quite at home on the Club’s table. Mr Kane’s best break was 53'. After the match, Mr McConochy gave some exhibition shots, and the display was much appreciated. About sixty spectators were in attendance.
