POLITICAL SENSATION. Melbourne, May 10. A sensation has boon caused in political circles at the resignation of Mr Alfred Deakin and Mr Nielsen(the Commissioners at the Panama Exhibition). The reasons are withheld, but it is surmised the resignations are the outcome of strained relations between Mr Deakin and Mr Mahon (Minister for External Affairs). , The Federal Cabinet will consider the position to-morrow.
